This not only allows for more inventive cultural victories it actively encourages adaptation, experimentation and adventurous decision making. Previously, the Technology tree plotted your path from the ancient eras through to the 21st century, but Civilization 6 splits advancement into two separate trees, extrapolating all of the cultural and political progression and plonking it into a new Civics tree.
